Fried Ginger Rice Recipe

Breakfast are vital for woman in confinement. A bowl of hot ginger rice helps to warm up the body and boost up energy early in the morning.

Cooking Tips : Use only old ginger as they are much more spicy and more effective in dispelling postpartum body 'wind'.

Ingredients :Traditional Chinese Cantonese Confinement Food Recipe - Fried Ginger Rice

  • 1 bowl white rice

  • 50g ginger (chopped)

  • 1 egg

  • 2 tbsp sesame oil

  • 1 tbsp soy sauce

  • pinch of pepper




    Method :

    1. Heat sesame oil in a wok, then saut� ginger until fragrant.

    2. Add in a bowl of white rice and stir-fry, then toss in egg and mix well.

    3. Season with soy sauce and pepper, dish out.
