Homemade Fuzhou red wine is nutritious, it helps to improve 'qi' and promote blood production. For confinement diet, water should not be added.
Ingredients :
- 500g shank
- 50g old ginger
- dash of sesame oil
- 1 bottle Fuzhou red wine
- 5 pcs bamboo pit
- 5 pcs red dates
- 3 slices Angelica sinensis (Dang Gui)
Method :
- Clean and cut shank into pieces, skinned ginger and cut into pieces, pre-soak bamboo pit and blanch in boiling water.
- Heat a wok with sesame oil, saut� ginger until fragrant, then add in shank and stir fry briefly.
- Shift ginger and shank into stew pot, add in bamboo pit, dates and Angelica sinensis (Dang Gui), stew for 90 minutes.
